This 4-hour immersive experience, led by the talented GJ, is designed for both beginners and experienced photographers looking to refine their skills, master studio lighting, and elevate their fashion photography.

The workshop kicks off with a 1-hour lecture, covering everything from finding inspiration and developing concepts to assembling the right creative team, organizing studio sessions, and mastering high-fashion lighting techniques. You'll also learn how to direct and communicate with models to capture dynamic, expressive poses.

Following the lecture, you’ll get 2.5 hours of hands-on practice with a fully styled fashion model in a professional studio setting. This session focuses on essential lighting setups used in real fashion editorials and practical shooting experience. The workshop wraps up with a personalized feedback and Q&A session, ensuring you leave with valuable insights and techniques to take your fashion photography to the next level.

GJ Verellen is an American-Belgian-Canadian photographer based in Toronto, with a Fine Art and Photography degree from Toronto Metropolitan University. His work has been internationally published and exhibited, blending fashion, portraiture, and storytelling through the interplay of form and light. Inspired by legends like Steven Meisel and Peter Lindbergh, GJ’s style is described as “elevated, polished, and high-end.”

GJ thrives on creative problem-solving and capturing beauty in the unexpected, whether in editorials, fine art collections, or commercial brand shoots. Looking ahead, he aims to expand internationally and continue exploring new ways to bring his artistic vision to life.
